Talking Tessa-Lynn

Tessa-Lynn is babbling constantly now. She says "uh oh" - even before she drops something now - much to her amusement. She also says "mahme", "dahdee", "noooo", "yeshh", "uph", "dowhn", "Aleh (Alex)", "bye", "hi", "nigh-nigh" (nite-nite), "milhh" (milk), "ahhh doohn" (all done), "fshhhh" (fish) and Eric's favorite: "nineehs" (Niners).

She is also signing: milk, fish, bye-bye, thank-you, kitty, all done, down, up, more, and eat.

Tessa loves to speed walk following her big brother playing "Star Wars". Alex puts on his 49er helmet (it's serious business - so don't laugh), gets the Tinkertoy blaster he concocted, and sets off through the house hunting 'droids. Tessa grabs another blaster, and follows behind him saying "pshew pshew" - her blaster noise. It is so sweet to see how much she adores Alex.

We are also starting with the "drama phase" which I have been told lasts for the next oh, 17+ years... When she doesn't get her way, she falls on the floor and rolls on to her back. Eric has started showing her how to put her arm up to her forehead, and then he says "drama, oh the drama". His theory that if he makes it a game, it won't turn into the real thing. As a former little girl, I'm not sure that will work - but we'll see!

I just walked out of the room for a minute, and when I came back, Tessa-Lynn was standing on top of the coffee table - my little monkey is going to run me ragged - and I wouldn't have it any other way!

  1. Wow, she is a mover and a shaker; how fun though. How in the world are you keeping her from going downstairs? Has she started hiding from you yet?

True girly-girl; you are in big trouble if the drama has set in at 15 months.
