Today, I tripped on one of Alex's prize possessions - his airplane. This airplane is very special because he saved up his own money for
6 months to buy it all himself. Today, I obliterated it with my foot. Yes, it shouldn't have been on the floor - but then again my socks and shoes, and Tessa's bottle probably shouldn't have been there either.
After I picked my jaw off the floor, and said I was sorry to him for the destruction of his beloved winged toy - I expected hysterics. I expected pouting, shouting, and slamming of doors. What I got instead just about knocked me over.
"Mommy, it's just a toy, I'm still happy - I know you didn't mean it".
What wisdom from such a young boy...
OMG. That melted my heart and I am sure it did the same to you.
