This year, we had company at our annual Northwest Adoptive Families Association (NAFA) camp out this year. Grandpa John and Grammie Gale joined us for the fun!
We just love this trip, and enjoyed sharing the hot dog roast, water balloon fights, kids games, potluck, and general good times with them!
In fact, while we were waiting for Grandpa and Grammie to get to the campsite, Alex and I filled a "bunch" of water balloons. They didn't even get a chance to put their van in "park" before the water balloons started flying! It was a great start to a wonderful weekend!
Tessa-Lynn got oh-so dirty playing in the mud, and Alex really started gaining confidence on his big boy bike. While he still had the training wheels on, he mastered braking, and going down hills; racing with some of the other boys at camp.
We also reconnected with the Adams family, who's daughter has battled cancer too. Their story is one of courage, and hope. You can read about their story here: Rebekah's Page. Since they also have battled cancer, we found out we would see them at one if not two more camp outs for families affected by childhood cancer this year! Rebekah's little sister Sarah, and Alex soon became fast friends, and were running around together just having a ball!
Everyone at the camp out is always so wonderful, and we always leave the camp eagerly anticipating the next year!
